Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Centennial, Colorado. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting general accounting tasks. This is a contract position that offers flexibility, with potential for growth based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

Generate and send invoices while performing basic accounts receivable duties.

Assign bills to the correct general ledger accounts and ensure proper coding.

Review and reconcile credit card transactions to maintain accurate records.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in expenses and journal entries.

Create and oversee purchase orders to support procurement processes.

Perform routine reconciliations and data entry tasks to support accounting operations.

Compile reports and assist with general accounting tasks as needed.

Provide occasional administrative support for HR-related tasks.

Ensure financial transactions are consistently recorded with precision and accuracy. Requirements - Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is essential.

Hands-on experience in accounts payable, including bill entry and coding.

Strong skills in credit card reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Knowledge of expense and accounts payable accounting principles.

Experience in creating and managing purchase orders.

Solid understanding of reconciliation and auditing processes.

High attention to detail and strong general accounting knowledge.

Ability to work independently and efficiently after initial onboarding.
