Supply Chain Intern

Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities

Processes material requisitions, complete purchase orders, and forward to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures. Expedite purchase orders, secure required delivery dates and quantities. Interview vendors and investigate sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards. Maintain good relationship with all vendor companies and their representatives. Negotiate with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials. Become familiar with the material usage requirements for subsidiary operations. Assures that vendors are advised of pertinent information. Becomes familiar with applicable federal and state regulations, federal priority regulations, and other rules affecting purchases. Properly applies such information in performance of job responsibilities. Complete paperwork as required including price change report, debit memos, and freight claim forms. Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Who we are looking for

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Competitive Compensation

Pay Range: $14.85/hr to $24.75/hr

No benefit plan eligibility
