[The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned departments and related services, ensuring that staff delivers the highest quality care possible with available services. The Chief Operating Officer will promote the facility and its services professionally and provide assigned departments' functions, including scheduling and management, as necessary.
Functional Expectations and Requirements:
The Chief Operating Officer will display leadership and managerial ability of assigned departments and may be called upon to oversee the facility and clinics in the absence of the CEO. The COO shall provide day-to-day operational leadership.
Prior experience in Critical Access Hospital management is preferred.
Clinical experience as an NP, PA, or RN preferred.
Experience with Electronic Health Records and knowledge and comfort with other computer software systems are required.
Scheduling experience and management of multiple departments are required.
A basic understanding of healthcare financials is preferred.
Previous experience with physician recruitment and retention is preferred.
The ability to work within a team dynamic with a common goal for positive patient outcomes is required.

Position
This is a full-time position, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional travel and non-standard working hour requirements. Some flexibility on the employer's part may be available with hours and days worked.
