Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Los Alamitos, California. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong background in accounting and vendor management. As part of our logistics industry team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including processing and posting invoices accurately and efficiently.

Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments and addressing any discrepancies.

Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.

Maintain payment schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Post payments and handle intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Perform account reconciliations to verify financial data integrity.

Utilize accounting software, such as Great Plains, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with the finance team to support continuous improvement in accounting practices. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable roles.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Oracle.

Experience with intercompany transactions is a plus.

Familiarity with Great Plains is advantageous.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
