Responsibilities

Manage the referral process while providing a smooth transition from the hospital, community, or other settings.

Perform in-person visits to evaluate potential referrals as needed. Conduct facility tours for prospective residents or their relatives.

Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources to obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner.

Work directly with other department supervisors in completing responsibilities for admissions of new residents. Coordinate the pre-admission procedures, hand-outs, and required paperwork.

Provide education to residents or their relatives regarding the services available at the facility and the resources that are provided to residents based on individual resident's needs.

Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Additional Preferences

Extensive experience in the DC market highly preferred.

Strong marketing background highly preferred.

Demonstrated success managing an existing, established book of business is highly preferred.
