Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $59,800.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
?The essential functions of this role are as follows:?
Monitor area compliance with VRS Quality Assurance (QA) standards and develop improvement plans to address performance issues.
Implement policy, including changes, at the local level ensuring consistency with statewide VR service delivery.
Review a sampling of individualized plans for employment (IPE) including review of eligibility determinations made by VR Counselors.
Assist VR Counselors with unique or challenging cases, problem solving, and problem resolution.
Approve a sampling of claims and all fiscal authorizations and claims over edit limits for VR client services.
Analyze spending patterns and develop strategies necessary for remediation with individual counselors.
Solicit ongoing input from staff, consumers, providers, and other community partners to maintain current understanding of program needs.
Provide leadership and participate in special program development activities including outreach initiatives.
Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.?
Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees.? Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field
Must have one (1) year of demonstrated paid or unpaid experience consisting of:
Direct work with individuals with disabilities in a setting such as an independent living center
Direct service or advocacy activities that provide such individual with experience and skills in working with individuals with disabilities
Direct experience as an employer, as a small business owner or operator, or in self-employment, or other experience in human resources, recruitment, or experience in supervising employees, training, or other activities that provide experience in competitive integrated employment environment.
Broad knowledge of the State and Federal Vocational Rehabilitation laws (e.g. Rehabilitation Act), statutes, rules, and regulations.
Ability to interpret and carry out policy, state and federal laws and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of services offered by community and other state agencies and how these may be utilized in rehabilitation plans.
Thorough knowledge of the budgetary process and its implications on programs and services.
Thorough knowledge of resources and funding outside of VRS that may be available as comparable benefits and wrap around supports.
Thorough knowledge of local area job market and the effects of various disabilities on job performance.
Ability to plan, develop, and implement effective working relationships with other persons and organizations of various @types.
Ability to present effectively to all aspects of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Ability to achieve community support for agency programs, to ensure successful outcomes.
Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow?
Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skillsets?
Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may provide direct supervision for one or more staff members.
