Tessera is seeking a new Aerospace Manufacturing Technician join our manufacturing team in Auburn, Washington. The Aerospace Manufacturing Technician will perform a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient production, quality parts, and a safe work environment. This position involves operating various machinery, deburring parts, performing assembly work, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. The selected individual will be cross-trained to collaborate across departments and assist with related functions when necessary.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Operate various equipment, which may include CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, drills), grinders, saws, water jet, presses, part mark machine, and other production equipment.
Perform secondary operations such as deburring, filing, sanding, cleaning, assembling, and part marking & packaging parts to required specifications.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or defects and report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
Use precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, to perform quality checks on in-process and finished parts.
Read and follow written work instructions, production orders, and basic blueprints or sketches.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including cleaning machines and sweeping the shop floor.
Follow company safety policies and procedures, always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform routine cleaning and daily preventative maintenance on equipment as instructed.
Assist in part marking, packaging and preparing finished goods for shipment.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors throughout manufacturing.
Flexible and willing to be assigned to any area needed daily.
All Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
6+ months of previous experience working in Aerospace industry is required.
Combination of previous experience and education will be considered.
Previous experience interpreting blueprints is highly preferred.
Previous experience using measuring and hand tools is highly preferred.
Previous Machine Operator or Assembly experience is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
