Job Title: Senior Project Manager - NuclearJob Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the nuclear sector to manage complex projects and plant modifications, including those involving safety-related systems. This role involves strategic planning to optimize resource use and personally managing projects with budgets up to $1,000,000. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in nuclear project management, with significant leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee complex nuclear projects and plant modifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Develop strategic plans to optimize the use of resources for project execution.

Authorize and control project budgets up to $1,000,000.

Coordinate with various departments to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines.

Lead a team of professionals to achieve project goals effectively and efficiently.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry.

At least 7 years in a leadership role within project management.

Experience in project management, nuclear engineering, construction, and electrical systems.

Proficiency in managing nuclear projects, including construction management and mechanical engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Experience with estimating systems.

Nuclear experience of at least 5 years preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering is highly desirable.

Work Environment

The role is based in a professional setting focused on nuclear and potentially fossil industry projects. The candidate will work with a team of experts in a collaborative environment, utilizing advanced technologies and systems to manage complex projects. Standard office attire is expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Palo, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
