Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, part-time, Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Akron, Ohio. This role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate invoice processing, and maintaining vendor records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies.

Verify and code invoices to ensure proper allocation within accounting systems.

Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors.

Maintain and update vendor records to ensure accurate account details.

Resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices and payments promptly.

Utilize Sage accounting software to manage accounts payable tasks.

Collaborate with team members to support financial reporting and audits.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports to ensure timely payment.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in processing invoices and coding transactions accurately.

Familiarity with Sage accounting software or similar platforms.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to handle check runs and reconcile accounts efficiently.

Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving payment discrepancies.

Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and team members.

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
