Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Brandenburg, Kentucky. In this role, you will manage essential financial processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of invoices and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Review and code invoices appropriately for timely payment processing.

Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and oversee check runs with precision.

Monitor vendor accounts to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.

Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities and support audits.

Assist in reconciling accounts payable balances and resolve any outstanding issues.

Collaborate with internal departments to address payment inquiries and provide necessary support.

Implement best practices to improve efficiency in accounts payable operations.

Prepare and generate reports related to accounts payable as needed.

Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company guidelines. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors.
