Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Signal Hill, California. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with billing and collections processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process time and material billing for contractors using daily logs.

Manage lump sum billing by organizing purchase orders and maintaining accurate job files.

Handle accounts receivable tasks, including generating invoices and managing collections calls.

Resolve billing discrepancies and perform necessary revisions to ensure accuracy.

Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage billing functions and electronic records efficiently.

Maintain a paperless system for billing and document organization.

Collaborate with customers to ensure timely payments and address any issues related to invoicing.

Process approximately $2 million in monthly billing, covering 80 invoices.

Work closely with the team to uphold compliance with construction accounting standards. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounts receivable systems.

Familiarity with construction accounting and billing processes.

Strong organizational skills to manage purchase orders and job files.

Excellent communication skills for handling collections calls and customer inquiries.

Ability to read and interpret daily logs for billing purposes.

Experience working with general contractors is highly preferred.

Adept at working in a paperless environment and managing electronic records.
