POSITION SPECIFICS University Health Services is seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day clinical operations and nursing staff for an assigned area. In this leadership role, you'll coordinate patient flow, facilitate efficient and customer-friendly care, and guide nursing team members to deliver high-quality service for our campus community.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate patient flow and facilitate patient care; assign and direct the work of nursing team members

Provide triage, phone advice, patient education, and medication administration

Assess and monitor all clinical activities

Provide training and guidance to nursing staff as needed

Conduct staff reviews and make recommendations for personnel actions

Counsel staff for policy deviations and develop corrective action plans

Bring concerns and ideas for improvement to Clinical Services Leadership

May provide clinical support to research studies

Supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSIf filled as Nursing Supervisor - Senior Supervisor, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

If filled as Nursing Supervisor - Supervisor, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESThis position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $61,800.00 - $102,300.00.
