Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK SERVICES) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CYBER SECURITY OFFICE (CODE 109.12) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will manage staff level and work assignments to effectively assign work to subordinates based on priorities. You will supervise 10-12 GS-12 IT specialists and 2-3 GS-11 IT specialists. You will be a spokesperson for the shipyard on matters related to coordinating, monitoring, and advising shipyard servers pertaining to the Shipyard server plan. You will develop and revise long-range plan for Shipyard data centers. You will participate in the development of the IT budget. You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments on planned and installed IT systems. You will be expected to travel and must be able to obtain and maintain a Government issued Credit Card. You will perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working with IT guides, procedures, regulations and precedents to enable employees to independently interpret or adapt the same to new or unique situations. Experience in managing large and complex projects, developing and presenting on project status, and working with cost analysis. Experience working with computer hardware, software, and support services required to establish and maintain a computer system. Experience in applying capital investment planning principles and methods.
