Crew Leader/Nursery worker- Lider de Cuadrilla / Trabajador de Vivero

2 Crew Leader/Nursery Workers are needed to work with nursery stock, including ornamentals, plants, flowers, hanging baskets, and trees/shrubs, in Ottawa, Newaygo, and Muskegon Counties, Michigan. Workers will provide first-line supervision of nursery crews, assign and monitor daily tasks, train workers in safe work practices and equipment use, and assist farm management with production coordination and timekeeping. Duties also include greenhouse and field work such as planting, cultivating, transplanting, pruning, fertilizing, irrigating, harvesting, packing, labeling, loading/unloading plants, operating tractors and other nursery equipment, and applying pesticides and fertilizers according to safety standards. The job requires at least 6 months of greenhouse agricultural experience overseeing crews, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks. Saturday work is required. Employer-paid drug testing and criminal background checks are required. Workers must hold a U.S. CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement or a valid Mexican CDL with A and B endorsements, and must be eligible to apply for a Farm Labor Contractor Employee certificate within 30 days of hire. High-quality standards, safe equipment operation, and maintaining a clean work area are required.

El trabajo requiere m nimo 6 meses de experiencia agr cola en invernadero supervisando cuadrillas, capacidad para levantar y cargar hasta 50 libras, y realizar trabajo f sico repetitivo. Se requiere trabajar los s bados. Se requieren pruebas de drogas y verificaci n de antecedentes pagadas por el empleador. Los trabajadores deben contar con licencia CDL Clase B con endoso de pasajeros de EE. UU. o licencia mexicana v lida con endosos A y B, y ser elegibles para solicitar un certificado de Empleado Contratista de Mano de Obra Agr cola dentro de los 30 d as de contrataci n. Se deben mantener altos est ndares de calidad, seguridad y limpieza en el rea de trabajo.

Period of employment / Per odo de empleo: 02/01/2026 - 11/15/2026

Work schedule: Generally, 45 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but are not required. Horario laboral: Generalmente 45 horas por semana, de lunes a s bado. Pueden ofrecerse horas adicionales, pero no ser n obligatorias.
