Directs professional services including group, individual, and family counseling; administers and interprets psychological evaluations of youth; and the monitors and evaluates youth at risk of suicide or in need of specialized treatment services. Coordinates and conducts the agencyand#8217;s approved treatment program, specialized treatment programs, andother in-service training; serves as the chairperson on the Special Services Committee; and participates in other multidisciplinary committees. Provides clinical oversight of the facility and assists the Superintendent in management of the overall treatment program of the facility. Supervises, monitors, evaluates, helps design and provides training for the agencyand#8217;s approved treatment program as well as special individual and group treatment programs. Oversees the monitoring of youthand#8217;s progress through specialized treatment programs, managing wait lists of youth in need of services, and movement into and out of specialized programs. Works collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure that adaptations and alternative interventions occur as needed with youth in need. Consults regularly with the Director of Treatment about youth in these programs and communicates issues that arise and which impact the delivery of those services. Ensures supplemental groups are scheduled and occur regularly. Participates in regular staffings with the treatment staff at the facility, and assists in referrals and monitoring of youth on psychotropic medication. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per workweek, be on-call, and travel occasionally.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides clinical oversight and assists the Clinical Director in the management of the treatment program(s) at the facility.Provides administrative or clinical supervision of psychology staff, psychology interns, practicum students, program specialists for specialized treatment, and rehabilitation program specialists at the facility.Provides direct psychological services and/or specialized treatment services that may include group or individual services.Oversees direct psychological specialized treatment services including group, individual, and family counseling; and works collaboratively with treatment teams to design interventions to aid youth who experience difficulty progressing in treatment and ensures treatment groups are held as scheduled and needed.Coordinates and oversees the training, consultation, and technical assistance of the agencyand#8217;s approved treatment program and specialized treatment programs to staff within and outside of the psychology department.Oversees the implementation and clinical integrity of the agencyand#8217;s approved treatment program and specialized treatment programs.Communicates issues and concerns regarding specialized treatment programs with the Clinical Director.Evaluates and monitors youth at risk of suicide or in need of specialized treatment services; effectively manages wait lists for youth requiring specialized treatment; and ensures youth progress and provides consultation and supervision to clinicians providing direct service through specialized treatment programs in a timely manner.Reviews clinical and forensic evaluations and risk management recommendations in transition/transfer packets for clinical integrity and effectively manages duties for assigned clinicians.Assists clinical director in monitoring facility mental health needs and ensures access to mental health resources is efficient and timely in accordance with agency policy.Monitors outcomes for racial, ethnic, and/or gender disparities and takes action to address identified disparities.Performs a variety of related duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures:Reports safety hazards and corrects hazards when possible.
