Hyatt seeks a motivated and prolific Senior Data Product Manager who is passionate about data to help us build out the next generation of data products, algorithms and applications. The Data Product Manager is responsible for defining data product vision(s) and guiding the creation of world-class data products democratizing access, accelerating algorithmically powered processes, and fostering data-driven decision making across the company.
In this role you'll define and guide the development of business-critical, scalable and robust data solutions, and intuitive and trustworthy data products that power data discovery, self-serve analytics, operational processes and drive business innovation. This position will guide data product research, facilitate product strategies, design solutions, and guide Hyatt's agile development and product roll-out processes.
You will be part of a global data community and you will work in cross-functional and agile project teams alongside Data Engineers, Data Stewards, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, other Application Product Managers, and executives to improve the experience of guests and colleagues worldwide.

Qualifications:
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data solutions, including intuitive and trustworthy data products that power data discovery, self-serve analytics, operational processes, and drive business innovation across the company.
Drive the vision, roadmap, and direction for Hyatt's GEM product
Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all of our goals
Gather requirements, determine features and their priority, write product specs, refine feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ship products quickly
Ensure data quality definition, monitoring, alerts and recourse is built into roadmap plans and engineering requirements of each data initiative/product
Ensure new product or algorithmic requirements are in compliance with Hyatt policies and/or corresponding contracts before being passed to engineers
Define and ensure products meet business SLAs
Gain an intimate understanding of the current methods of building and delivering data pipelines into Hyatt's Data Platforms and define how this should work in the future
Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization
Promote enterprise-wide adoption of the GEM Product
Educate teams on GEM Product and use cases
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values

Qualifications

You are able to collaborate with teams within the company to understand their needs and requirements for data products and to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
A Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
Prefer Master's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field but not required
5 years of hands-on experience in in guiding the strategy of a data product and its underlying data to ensure it collectively achieves business objectives, and leveraging or managing data products to drive business value, with a proven track record of success
3 years of product management experience, including managing, building, or launching enterprise or consumer software, applications, or business intelligence tools, with a record of successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
Proven ability to navigate difficult situations with competing stakeholder needs and across multiple audiences (individual contributors, managers, executives)
Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills
Knowledge of modern Data Infrastructure and related processes
Work knowledge of agile methodologies and SCRUM
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
