Box Truck Driver

Aerotek's client is looking for a Driver to join their team in the Halethorpe, MD area

Description

Arrive daily at the assigned time (Between 5 and 9am depending on route)

Report to the dispatcher for the route, truck assignment, and any pick-up paperwork.

Inspect your truck inside and out (you will need a smart phone)

Load Truck - Secure Load

Depart for route - deliver/unload products at customer locations

All customer orders must be verified by the driver and receiver at the time of delivery.

Any discrepancies must be noted on both copies of the invoice and signed by both the driver and receiver at the time of delivery, so everyone has accurate records that match.

Customer invoices must be signed by the person receiving the order unless the order comments indicate that there is no one present at the time of delivery.

If no one is available to sign the invoice, the driver must contact the office so we can reach out to the customer for delivery instructions.

Routes take approximately 4-8 hrs.

Return at end of route and turn in paperwork.

Unload backhaul products and/or customer returns.

?Park truck, lock up truck, and head home.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Have a Clean Driving Record with at least 3 years licensed driving experience

Have a positive "can do" attitude and Love being out and about.

Have a friendly, professional attitude towards other team members and of course ALL of our customers.

Be able to work flexible schedules.

Be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.

Be able to operate a manual or electric pallet jack with product up to 100 pounds.

Be able to get in and out of a 26" Box Truck.

Be able to work in all weather conditions year-round.

Qualified candidates will be given a call within 48 hours of submitting an application

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halethorpe, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
