Administrative Assistant Opening!

Job Description

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, taking dictation, and relieving officials of clerical work and minor administrative tasks. You will work under general supervision and report to a manager, utilizing your experience and judgment to achieve objectives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments and manage calendars.

Provide information to callers and handle inquiries.

Take dictation and perform general clerical duties.

Support office staff with phone and visitor coverage.

Assist with errands, tours, visits, and events.

Answer phones and assist with scaling trucks.

Greet and direct visitors.

Perform data entry and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Maintain phone etiquette and provide phone support.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of administrative experience in a professional setting.

Strong computer and phone skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant software.

Planning and time management skills.

Multitasking abilities.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems.

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to gather and monitor information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Valid driver's license.

Nice to have logistics experience.

Nice to have agriculture experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in an administrative building, providing support to a small office team of approximately four people. You will work in a professional setting that values collaboration and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Illiopolis, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
