As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Chapel Hill, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an education environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the university environment.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the educational community as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.

Observe and report any security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management and campus representatives.

Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points at the location, helping to maintain orderly flow of individuals.

Support emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols, assisting university staff and public officials as required.

Document all daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed written reports as directed by Allied Universal procedures.

Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and to promote a welcoming atmosphere for all campus occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
