As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Rounds in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.

Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm and problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.

Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.

Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail or mall environment.

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

A guard card or license is preferred.

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
