Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides technical and clinical support to licensed Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists in various clinical settings including the Operating Rooms, Pre-operative areas, Post Anesthesia Care units, and Procedural areas (Endoscopy, Interventional and/or Diagnostic radiology), and on the hospital units in the event of emergency. The Anesthesia Technician will assist with duties such as transportation, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management, within the anesthesia technician scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and/or registered nurse. The Anesthesia Technician will provide support for routine and/or emergency surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician will assist by taking call as assigned. The Anesthesia Technician will contribute to the efficient workflow of the surgical services department by ordering supplies, stocking, completing necessary checklists, and assist RN's and CST/FA's in turnover of rooms between cases.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate / GED

Minimum 2 years as an Anesthesia Tech. Previous hospital or healthcare experience.

1 year OR experience and/or Anesthesia Support role preferred.

BLS

CNA preferred
