Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in St. Augustine, Florida. In this role, you will perform essential accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank transactions, and handling high-volume data entry with precision. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in finance and accounting who excel in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for efficient data management.

Enter large volumes of numeric and financial data with a high degree of accuracy.

Code invoices and maintain organized records for audit and review purposes.

Manage equipment inventory and maintain accurate tracking of assets.

Create and update spreadsheets to support financial reporting and analysis.

Handle inbound phone calls related to vendor inquiries and payment processing.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless accounting operations.

Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong skills in bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.

Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Exceptional data entry skills, especially with numeric and high-volume entries.

Ability to work with spreadsheets and maintain detailed financial records.

Familiarity with coding invoices and maintaining organized documentation.

Excellent communication skills for handling inbound telephone calls and collaborating with colleagues.
