Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift Operator. This role involves operating the sit down forklift, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient production processes in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Operate the baler/sit-down forklift daily to ensure optimal production.

Record hourly and daily logs of total weight materials processed.

Document any downtime of the baler flow and take corrective actions as needed.

Perform physical duties associated with the operation of equipment to maintain workflow.

Follow the directions of the Area Supervisor regarding daily production and activities.

Conduct daily preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency.

Adhere to the dress code and comply with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.

Work independently in the absence of direct supervision to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

Experience in production, general labor, and machine operation.

Proficiency in operating sit down forklift.

Knowledge of non-ferrous materials.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

Work Environment

The position is located in a non-climate-controlled environment, requiring adherence to dress code and PPE guidelines. The role demands flexibility with hours, including potential overtime and weekend work

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
