Job Summary
The Marketing Automation Manager is a people manager responsible for leading the planning and execution of complex, data-driven marketing and sales enablement campaigns leveraging technology including Adobe Marketo and Salesforce.
This role builds on advanced campaign execution expertise and requires team leadership, strategic thinking, strong cross-functional collaboration, and deep platform knowledge. This position supports the continued evolution of Thrivent Asset Management's (TAM) omni-channel marketing capabilities.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Translate marketing and lifecycle strategies into omni-channel campaign executions using Adobe Marketo and Salesforce technology.
Manage a team to deliver marketing campaign work focused on email and sales enablement. Own employee reviews, coaching and development plans.
Develop and optimize sales enablement strategies, including sales email and webinar capabilities.
Lead the end-to-end execution with this team for complex, multi-step journeys, from requirements gathering through deployment, QA, performance reporting, and optimization.?
Apply advanced understanding of Adobe Marketo, Salesforce and CRM data to drive targeting, personalization, and campaign triggers in partnership with Analytics and Lead Automation counterparts.
Manage the implementation and enhancement of TAM Marketing campaign programs, ensuring email & collateral template usability, compliance, and brand alignment.
Define and execute QA and testing strategies for complex campaigns; analyze performance and identify opportunities for improvement.?
Develop and maintain scalable frameworks, templates and audience strategies to support efficient, compliant marketing execution.?
Serve as a subject matter expert in marketing automation best practices, advising on strategy, compliance, scalability and platform governance.?
Job Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing, integrated planning, or marketing automation.
2+ years of experience managing a team.
Adobe Marketo experience.
Experience partnering with engineers and technical stakeholders to align marketing automation requirements with platform capabilities.
Experience with Agile marketing practices.
Experience in management of prospecting and subscription email programs.
Preferred:
Experience in investments, financial or other regulated industry.??
Adobe Marketo certification.?
Salesforce certification.
Sales enablement email program experience.
Additional Information
This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of three days a week (currently Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $120,467.00 - $162,984.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
