INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)
This high-impact leadership role is dedicated to growing, training, and developing a high-performing Inside Sales team who excel at closing deals over the phone. Based on-site, will lead the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of Inside Sales Representatives, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and motivation to consistently close sales and exceed revenue targets.
Will design and implement comprehensive training programs, provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Your focus will be on building a team of skilled closers through targeted skill development, performance management, and incentive plans that drive motivation and results.
Success in this role requires the ability to elevate the team's closing capabilities, align sales strategies with customer needs, and deliver measurable revenue growth. Will also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure sales objectives are fully integrated with broader commercial goals and customer expectations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Hire, develop, and retain talent using company-wide processes, tools, and resources.
Develop/manage processes to improve communication, effectiveness, and ensure processes alignment.
Monitor team performance through KPIs and dashboards; provide regular feedback and performance coaching.
Partner with Account Executives and Marketing teams to align on customer engagement strategies.
Serve as a key point of contact for escalations and complex customer interactions.
Support hiring efforts, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, leveraging tools and insights to optimize efficiency.
Collaborate with the People & Culture team (HR) to ensure role clarity, career pathing, and incentive alignment.
WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)
5+ years of experience in sales. Previous experience managing sales employees a plus.
Track record of managing and developing successful sales teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability leveraging order entry systems, CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), and reporting systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Experience in performance management reporting and delivery (one-on-one's, bi-annual appraisals, etc.) and performance statistics review/analysis.

Knowledge of sales philosophies and approaches, including presentations, overcoming objections and closing strategies.
Previous experience using multiple technological programs, systems or applications while interacting with customers.
The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
For this specific role, you may be eligible to participate in the sales/commission plan at a rate of 30% - 50% of the base salary.
