H2C seeks a Shift Operations Manager to support the Effluent Treatment Facility (ETF) operations. This position will be accountable for ensuring that the personnel assigned to operate ETF do so in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with applicable Technical and Environmental Safety Requirements. This position is accountable for ensuring ETF operations are conducted in accordance with approved policies and procedures while implementing Integrated Safety Management and Conduct of Operations. The ETF Shift Operations Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the activities and functions to be carried out by Team Operations and Maintenance personnel, Field Work Supervisors, and their crews. The ETF Shift Operations Manager is responsible for proper Conduct of Operations and manages a multi-disciplined team of bargaining unit and exempt personnel.
Provide mentoring and coaching to bargaining unit personnel, and Team Field Work Supervisors.
Understand the technical safety requirements for the project and how these requirements are implemented.
For requirements that are unclear, request assistance from the appropriate Subject Matter Expert.
Communicate with the Functional Subject Matter Experts including Nuclear Safety to request guidance.
Actively support programs designed to protect employees against workplace hazards. Ensure safe working conditions and practices.
Manage the operation of ETF in compliance with State and Federal waste regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) orders, Safety Basis requirements, and company policy and procedures.
Understand the principals of Conduct of Operations. Implement and mentor Conduct of Operations in the field to support continuous improvement.
Ensure that project system/equipment configuration control is maintained using operating procedures, lock and tag, and the work management system.
Assist in identifying maintenance issues and prioritizing fixing the maintenance problems.
Ensure technical procedures and other work-related documents are prepared and used to provide appropriate work direction and to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
Establish housekeeping standards in work areas of jurisdiction. Perform routine inspections of all work areas.
Ensure worker radiation and chemical exposure is maintained As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and that overall benefits should be achieved by activity causing the exposure.
Perform periodic oversight and/or review of the Integrated Safety Management System program to ensure its effectiveness and applicability.
Maintain awareness of project conditions and promptly notify management of any unusual or unexpected circumstances.
Establish prerequisites for work approval and communicates with operations/maintenance planners to assure prerequisites are met.
Assign personnel resources and equipment as required to meet daily priorities.
Control changes made to daily work assignments.
Review and approve work packages and Lock and Tags to ensure package are ready to work and closed in a timely manner.
Initiate/validate corrective maintenance work packages.
Ensure facility compliance inspections and surveillances are complete.
Understand the principals of Conduct of Operations. Implement and mentor Conduct of Operations to support continuous improvement.
Interface with radiological control, maintenance, environmental, and other support organizations.
Review procedure changes and new procedures; ensure accuracy of procedures by validation; initiate changes to correct procedure issues and enforce procedure compliance
Ensure notifications of events or conditions are made to the Shift Office.
Ensure that project system/equipment configuration control is maintained using operating procedures, lock and tag, and the work management system.
Notify shift office of any environmental conditions that require notifications.
Ability to attain Lock and Tag Controlling Organization Qualification in a timely manner.
Ability to attain ETF Shift Manager Qualification and Building Emergency Director in a timely manner.
H2C will consider successful completion of the following qualifications toward experience equivalencies (max consideration of 3 qualifications).

Required Qualifications
Grade 19:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Construction Management. Engineering or a related field; and
Nine (9) years of related experience or six (6) years related experience and successful completion of three (3) approved qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Grade 20:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Construction Management. Engineering or a related field; and
Ten (10) years of related experience or seven (7) years related experience and successful completion of three (3) approved qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.
Desired Qualifications
-Past or present nuclear facility experience.
-Tank Farms Operations Engineer Qualified
-Lock and Tag Administrator Qualified.
-Operations Engineer (OE) Qualified.
-Central Shift Manager (CSM) Qualified.
-242-A Shutdown Mode (SM) Qualified.
-242-A All Mode (SM) Qualified.
-Detailed technical, engineering, and operations knowledge is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $117,225
Hiring Range Maximum: $162,688
