Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities What to Expect Operates a personal computer (PC) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of correspondences, and screens all incoming telephone calls, determining those, which can be answered, and those, which must be referred. Makes arrangements for meetings including space and time and notifies those who are to attend of the topics to be discussed. Prepares detailed or summary reports for meetings. Establishes and maintains subject matter files and records. Arranges travel and transportation schedules as directed. Responsible for typing complex statistical reports, budget spreadsheets, financial statements, directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer. Responsible for correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading of @typed materials. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications What are we looking for? Must have two years experience working knowledge of a PC with peripheral equipment and Microsoft software or similar integrated software program. A working knowledge of word processing databases spreadsheets, and graphics utilization and implementation. Knowledge of general clerical procedures. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
