We are looking for a dynamic and strategic VP/Director of Finance to lead and optimize financial operations for a multi-location orthodontic organization based in Mount Prospect, Illinois. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient revenue cycle management, accurate financial reporting, and robust budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, analytical expertise, and healthcare finance knowledge to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, payroll coordination, and month-end closing.

Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and readiness for audits while safeguarding financial health.

Supervise revenue cycle processes, including claims processing, payment posting, and collections, with a focus on orthodontic-specific workflows such as payment plans and global fees.

Optimize billing and insurance verification procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce denials.

Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to executive leadership.

Analyze financial performance metrics across multiple locations to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies.

Lead the budgeting process, including financial forecasting for production, expenses, and cash flow.

Develop and manage dashboards for tracking key operational and financial metrics tailored to orthodontic practices.

Mentor and manage finance team members, fostering growth and implementing standardized procedures.

Collaborate with senior leadership and practice managers to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Salary: $100-120K

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, orthodontics, or dental finance.

Proven expertise in managing billing teams and accounting staff across multi-site operations.

In-depth knowledge of orthodontic billing workflows, insurance verification processes, and payment plans.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive team performance and organizational success.

Experience in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analyses.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
