Central Louisiana State Hospitallocated inPineville, Louisianais seeking applicants for a vacant position in ourSwitchboard Departmentas a/anAdministrative Supervisor 1 (Switchboard)who supervises personnel engaged in clerical activities in support of an organizational unit or program.
TheAdministrative Supervisor 1 (Switchboard)plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH's values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Plans and directs all the duties of the staff in the Switchboard, including but not limited to processing paperwork, conducting interviews, validating time and attendance, and completing other personnel activities in accordance with Civil Service Rules.
Answer all incoming and in-house calls and route to desired destination quickly, providing accurate information
and directions as needed. Take messages, page or call appropriate personnel, and deliver messages.
Call ambulance when requested and notify Security to meet them at front gate and escort to unit. Also, notify On Duty (OD) Registered Nurse, Administrator On-Duty (AOD), and document.
Greet visitors, notify appropriate unit or department that a patient has a visitor, complete visitor's pass, log information, and direct visitors to the unit.
Dispatch Security by push-to-talk communication device and document each call (for all areas of the hospital, on-grounds
and off grounds).
Receive money for patients, write a receipt and give a copy to the person bringing the money, and lock the money in the safe. Dispense money to patients when they come for it. If the money is left for the Patient's Fund in Fiscal, obtain a receipt from Fiscal, and staple in the Receipt Book.

Compensation: This position has a Minimum Hire Rate of $1101.60 bi-weekly.
Work Schedule:Monday through Friday; 7:00am - 3:00pm
