THE POSITION
Warren State Hospital is looking for an individual with a background in therapeutic activities that is eager to start a new chapter in their career. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As the Therapeutic Activities Supervisor, you will be tasked with providing overall supervision and direction to the Therapeutic Recreation Department. You will be responsible for evaluating unit programs on a regular basis by observing activities, meeting with staff, and reviewing monthly statistical records, in order to provide the most cost-effective delivery of quality programming. You will have the opportunity to work directly with patients by leading and co-leading activity groups in order to provide recovery-based services for consumers. Work also involves ensuring services meet established standards, assisting with administrative functions, and participating in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure the therapeutic programming is meeting the needs of patients.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Therapeutic Activities Worker (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; and a bachelor's degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
