Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Jupiter, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial reporting and accounting operations, who is eager to contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial processes. Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

Prepare and post journal entries, adhering to accounting standards and company policies.

Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Analyze financial records and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Assist in preparing periodic financial statements and reports for management review.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and accounting principles.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.

Familiarity with performing bank reconciliations and addressing discrepancies.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze large volumes of financial data.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external auditors.

Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
