Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and accounting expertise. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support accurate record-keeping and financial statements.

Prepare and post journal entries with precision and adherence to accounting principles.

Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure proper adjustments.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify transactions and maintain financial integrity.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Provide detailed analysis of financial data to support decision-making and reporting.

Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Monitor and resolve accounting issues, ensuring proper resolution in a timely manner.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close processes and general ledger management.

Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

Proficiency in accounting software and tools to manage financial operations effectively.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards within the industry.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present financial insights clearly.
