The Acquisitions Staff provides technical guidance and contracting operations to the United States Attorney's Offices (USAOs) and EOUSA staff offices. Typical work assignments will include: Analyzing and evaluating contracting matters, developing, and recommending contracting policies and procedures, and guiding and managing contracting activities. Provides technical guidance and expertise concerning procurement statutes, regulations, and Departmental and agency policies regarding the procurement process. Advisory services focus on technical contracting issues to include advance acquisition plans, business clearances, pre-award surveys, cost and price analysis, contract administration and methods of procurement. Negotiates and awards complex, high dollar value Open Market contracts and "Best Value" delivery orders against GSA Federal Supply Service Schedules. Analyzes district needs and contracting operations, identifying options for consolidating contracts. Participates in the preparation of policies and procedures at agency level based on changes in statutes, regulations and best practices and makes recommendations for implementation.
