Application Consultant - Site Reliability

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant - Site Reliability position for our client.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across Linux and Windows platforms, applications, and cloud services.

Build automated solutions for scaling, monitoring, self-healing, and performance optimization.

Develop and maintain SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, and reliability dashboards.

Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive remediation efforts.

Lead advanced troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle operations for Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server ecosystems.

Maintain patching, configuration management, backups, performance tuning, and system hardening.

Manage virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).

Skills:

Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.

Experience with cloud services and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with automation tools for scaling, monitoring, and self-healing.

Proficiency in designing and maintaining SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.

Advanced troubleshooting and optimization skills for server and application ecosystems.

Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).

Knowledge of patch management, system hardening, backups, and performance tuning.

Experience:

Proven experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) or a similar role.

Experience leading incident response, RCA, and preventive remediation efforts.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex Linux/Windows systems in enterprise environments.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
