We're looking for a strategic, creative, and insight-driven brand storyteller. As the Manager, Brand Strategy, you'll define and evolve Walmart Connect's external brand presence across digital, experiential, and owned and paid touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive, differentiated, and modern expression of our brand. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Comms, Product Marketing, Creative, Growth Marketing, Events, Media Insights, Sales, and more to build strategies that strengthen how we communicate Walmart Connect's value prop and innovation in the retail media space. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy.
Define & Evolve the Brand
Shape and guide WalmartConnect'sbrand positioning and expression, ensuringconsistentmessaging and visual identity alignment across alltouchpoints.
Ensure a consistent tone, look, and feel across digital, experiential, and media environments.
Partner with internal creative and marketing teams to translate brand strategy into compelling campaigns and activations.
Website & Digital Experience
Oversee the strategic direction and storytelling for WalmartConnect.com, ensuring the site reflects and strengthens WalmartConnect'sbrand narrative.
Partner with the Growth Marketing team (owners of paid media and the blog) to evolve site content and messaging based on insights and business priorities.
Ensure the website experience and content are aligned with WalmartConnect'svalue proposition, messaging framework, and brand pillars, and reinforce narratives expressed across campaigns and events.
External Event & Speakership Strategy
Define WalmartConnect'sbrand strategy and positioning for key industry tentpoles (e.g., CES, Cannes Lions, ANAMasters of Marketing), partnering closely with Comms to shape how the brand shows up across content, creative, and executive visibility.
Build frameworks and talking points that bring WalmartConnect'sretail media leadership to life.
Partner with Events, Comms, Creative, and Sales teams to align narratives across stages, videos, and marketing materials.
Brand Perception & Measurement
Partner with Insights and Analytics to define and track brand health metrics-awareness, favorability, andperception.
Lead adperceptionand measurement strategy to evaluate and strengthen brand equity inmarket.
Leverage insights and competitive analysis to inform brand evolution and messaging priorities.
Content & Storytelling Innovation
Champion new storytelling formats, including video, visual, and experiential content, that elevate brand engagement.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to produce high-quality, insight-driven creative assets.
Explore innovative ways to tell our story through partnerships,paid media,media collaborations, and emerging platforms.
Partnership & Ecosystem Collaboration
Develop and manage strategic brand partnerships and co-marketing opportunities that enhance WalmartConnect'svisibility.
Work closely with agency and vendor partners, managingbudgetsand ensuring delivery of best-in-class brand work.
Alignwith cross-functional leads to ensure a unified, enterprise-level brand presence across the Walmart ecosystem.
Partner withLegaland Data Governance teamson a regular basis to review and approve external-facing assets from a brand perspective, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
Core Skills & Competencies
Skilledcommunicator and storyteller with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives and translate strategy into effective messaging across formats.
Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, and integrated marketing.
Knowledge of the digital media industry, advertising ecosystem, and familiarity with retail media, commerce media, and competitivetrends.
Proficiencyin design and video production - capable of directing and overseeing creative work while collaborating effectively with creative teams.
Experience translating insights into actionable brand direction.
Skilled at managing cross-functional relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Data-informed mindset withabilityto connect brand goals to measurable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing communications, or integrated marketing at a large organization, agency, or media/tech brand.
Provensuccessdeveloping and implementing brand strategies that drive awareness, differentiation, and engagement.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, ora relatedfield.
Exceptional writingskills;design and video sensibilitya strongplus.
Experience managing brandperceptionand awareness research programs.
Experience in retail media, digital advertising, or B2B tech.
Familiarity with retail media measurement, ad effectiveness, and attribution models.
Experience developing co-marketing or partnership marketing initiatives.

San Bruno, California US-08848: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
