Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting office operations and assisting our tax and accounting professionals. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process, organize, and scan incoming client documents to ensure proper handling and storage.

Provide front desk support by greeting visitors, answering and routing calls, and maintaining the reception area.

Deliver administrative assistance to the tax and accounting team, including preparing documents and managing workflows.

Review and verify data from tax forms to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Prepare federal and state tax returns for secure digital delivery and mailing.

Assist with maintaining client portals and ensuring timely document uploads.

Support the team in managing deadlines and handling confidential information with discretion.

Coordinate mailing and delivery of essential documents to clients. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Previous experience in a tax office or coursework in accounting/taxation is preferred.

Familiarity with tax forms such as W-2s, 1099s, and related documentation is advantageous.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
