Our client in Dalton, MA is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions and assist with vendor/client inquiries

Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Support audit preparation and collaborate with external auditors as needed

Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and internal controls

Assist in implementing new accounting policies and process improvements

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to support business initiatives

Respond promptly to ad hoc requests and special projects from management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

Minimum two years of professional accounting experience preferred

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting practices

Experience with accounting software and intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
