Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in using SQL to gather and transform data, with an ability to learn new technical skills for financial analysis and reporting.
Experience in financial modeling, with an ability to structure problems, make reasonable assumptions, and analyze datasets to find insights.
Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Buying Hub, SAP, and Herald.
Ability to learn quickly and work on clearly defined tasks, escalating complex issues to executive team members when needed.
Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teammates and business partners.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
In this role, you will be the primary Finance partner for the Privacy, Safety, and Security organization within Core, providing Financial Planning and Analysis support and advising on financial matters to influence decisions aimed at maximizing operational efficiency, business impact, and financial returns. You will engage with business leadership, engineering and product teams, and Strategy and Operations to solve a variety of business issues.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000-$132,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Support financial planning and analysis for the Privacy, Security and Safety organization by assisting with data preparation, data maintenance, routine financial analysis, and dashboard automation.
Develop and maintain financial models to track and forecast spending for projects. Assist in preparing and presenting financial reports and dashboards for business partners, synthesizing data to explain trends and variances.
Contribute to process improvement projects by identifying opportunities for optimization, recommending changes, and helping implement them.
Manage project documents, take notes, meet deadlines, and communicate obstacles early to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Collaborate with other teams, including Central Financial Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Hub and Business Operations to ensure Google's financial and accounting requirements are met.
