THE WORK:
You'll lead the project controls team, overseeing all scheduling, cost control, estimating, change, and risk management activities.
You'll ensure all project control processes are established, maintained, and compliant with company governance and project standards.
You'll coordinate with Project Managers, Directors, and Finance to maintain control of key project performance indicators (KPIs).
You'll oversee adherence to assurance processes, including health checks and internal audits.
You'll ensure the team is staffed with competent resources and that clear accountability is established across all project control disciplines.
You'll manage overall project cost performance against sanctioned budgets and financial baselines.
You'll develop and maintain detailed cost forecasts, cash flow curves, and performance metrics.
You'll support financial reporting and monitor variances, contingency usage, and impacts on the cost of goods.
You'll collaborate with finance teams on the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual spend plans.
You'll ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, including depreciation rules and capitalization practices.
You'll oversee the development, maintenance, and progress measurement of the master project schedule.
You'll conduct critical path analyses, manage schedule buffers, and lead variance reviews.
You'll facilitate interactive planning sessions and schedule risk assessments, such as Monte Carlo simulations or QSRAs.
You'll integrate schedule, cost, and risk data to enable holistic project tracking and informed decision-making.
You'll lead the identification and documentation of project changes and their impacts on scope, cost, and schedule.
You'll ensure change control procedures are rigorously followed and that all impacts are properly assessed and reported.
You'll maintain the project risk register, lead risk response planning, and monitor the execution of mitigation actions.
You'll develop, validate, and distribute accurate performance reports and dashboards to key stakeholders.
You'll present your analyses and forecasts to senior management and project steering committees.
You'll ensure stakeholder alignment through consistent, transparent communication of project status.
You'll provide actionable insights into trends, risks, and opportunities using advanced, data-driven reporting tools.
You'll ensure full compliance with project management frameworks, corporate standards, and quality assurance processes.
You'll actively participate in project gate reviews, readiness assessments, and internal/external audits.
You'll champion and support continuous improvement initiatives across the entire project controls function.

$145,000 - $180,000 biweekly
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline.
8-12 years of experience in project controls or project management roles supporting large-scale capital, infrastructure, or pharmaceutical projects.
Expertise in cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), earned value management, and risk analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of PMBOK, AACE, or equivalent project management frameworks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
Advanced Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization and forecasting tools.
Strategic thinker, team leader, adaptable, detail-oriented, and collaborative across functional areas.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Masters degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline
Advanced knowledge of cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), earned value management, and risk analysis tools.
