Position: Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: 1705 Warren Avenue

Schedule: Days/Early Evenings, Monday through Friday

Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a difference in an outpatient facility? UPMC Rehabilitation Institute - Costello Center is seeking a passionate and skilled PTA to join our dynamic team. If you have previous experience in an outpatient setting, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Exceptional Care: Deliver physical therapy treatments in accordance with the plan of care established by the physical therapist. Recommend changes based on patient condition and response to treatment.

Maintain Order: Keep work areas neat and orderly, and direct therapy volunteers.

Clerical Duties: Perform necessary clerical responsibilities as required by the facility.

Patient Transport: Safely and professionally transport patients using prescribed transport vehicles.

Productivity: Maintain a level of productivity that meets or exceeds the facility's standards.

Clinical Excellence: Implement treatment programs that reflect current scientific and clinical knowledge to achieve established outcomes/goals.

Qualifications:

Previous PTA experience in an outpatient facility is preferred.

Strong clinical skills and ability to implement treatment programs effectively.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association with an associates degree as a physical therapist assistant.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Physical Therapist Assistant OR Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect Supervision

Act 33 with renewal

Act 34 with renewal

Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
