As a senior sourcing specialist, you will...
Shape the Business
Project Management: Assist and support sourcing managers with timely and accurate execution of sourcing activities. Communicate proactively with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Independently manage multiple projects and deadlines while acting as a sourcing consultant.
Sourcing Process: Apply and improve sourcing processes to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Execute day-to-day administrative tasks to maintain quality data and reporting.
Strategy: Support development of sourcing strategies by conducting market analysis and applying knowledge of industry dynamics, competitors, and key players. Drive Value
Value Analysis: Create spend visualization reports to identify trends and negotiation opportunities. Lead benchmarking and cost modeling to uncover cost savings and margin enhancements.
Supply Base Management: Assist in developing supplier assessments, scorecards, and performance metrics.Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase business efficiency. Protect Supply and Reduce Risk
Risk Management: Help identify, assess, and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks. Maintain supplier risk data related to financial, commodity, ethical sourcing, and market insights.
We'd love to hear from people with:
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience: 0-2+ years in sourcing, procurement, analytics, finance, planning, engineering, supply chain, or related fields preferred.
Required Skills
Sourcing Foundation: Knowledge of procurement processes (RFx, market analysis, cost models, confidentiality agreements).
Problem Solving & Business Acumen: Ability to think constructively and act professionally in diverse business situations.
Teamwork & Influence: Demonstrates leadership and collaboration across peer groups.
Project Management: Competency in tools and techniques; ability to prioritize effectively.
Communication: Clear verbal, written, and visual presentation skills; proactive communication with stakeholders.
Emotional Intelligence & Adaptability: Resilient in ambiguous environments; effective influencing skills.
Intellectual Curiosity: Proactively seeks knowledge and leverages subject matter expertise.
Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, complex formulas), BI tools, Oracle ERS, SAP Ariba, Power BI, Tableau.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
