As a Unit Coordinator, this position requires the individual to work 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week. The Unit Coordinator assigns cases; serves as lead worker for other clinicians; helps orient and train new clinicians; oversees the development and implementation of unit programs and activities; participates in agency-wide committees and functions as necessary and required to facilitate the delivery of services; and coordinates clinical and administrative activities as necessary to facilitate the smooth functioning of the treatment team while assuring adherence to applicable policies, procedures, laws and rules. As a Certified Forensic Examiner, conducts forensic evaluations, prepares reports to various courts of law, and offers "Expert Witness" testimony in legal proceedings as required. As a Chief Clinician, performs a range of psychotherapeutic services to assigned patients.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a master's degree in social work.
Experience
Three years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker P11.
Additional Requirements and Information
Registration as a social worker by the Michigan Board of Examiners of Social Workers.
Certified Forensic Examiner by the Center for Forensic Psychiatry.
The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.
