Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to support our residential services team during the peak winter season. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and real-time troubleshooter, assisting customers with product inquiries, service needs, billing issues, and transaction support via a high volume of inbound calls.

This is a remote, 6-month contract position with the potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls with professionalism and empathy.

Troubleshoot service issues and provide real-time solutions.

Address inquiries related to products, billing, and transactions.

De-escalate challenging situations and maintain a positive customer experience.

Accurately document customer interactions and perform data entry tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a high-volume call center.

Strong communication and active listening skills.

Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure.

Proficient in data entry and basic office equipment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

100% Remote (Candidates must reside in the Eastern Standard Time Zone).

Shift Hours: Between 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM EST.

Holiday availability required (e.g., Christmas, New Year).

Business Context

This role supports our busiest season, from September through March , with peak call volumes in January and February . The team handles over 1,000 inbound calls per day , often from frustrated or distressed customers. Our top priority this season is improving customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service. Representatives must be resilient, empathetic, and skilled at managing difficult conversations, including issues like delivery delays and emergency outages.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
