Position: General Warehouse (Shipping and Receiving)

Shift: M-F 8:15 AM -5 PM.

Rate: $18 per hour.

Temp-Perm Opportunity

General Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Unloading:

Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the received goods.

Unload trucks and containers, checking for damages and reporting discrepancies.

Order Picking and Packing:

Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.

Ensure that items are correctly labeled, and orders are prepared for shipment.

Inventory Management:

Assist in counting and recording inventory levels.

Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.

Quality Control:

Inspect products for defects or damages during the receiving and packing processes.

Report any issues to supervisors and work with the team to address quality concerns.

Loading and Shipping:

Load products onto trucks and containers for outbound shipments.

Ensure proper documentation and labeling for outgoing shipments.

Warehouse Organization:

Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization.

Keep aisles and work areas clean and free of obstacles.

Equipment Operation:

Operate warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and possibly forklifts (if certified).

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members and departments to achieve common goals.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, order fulfillment, and other relevant information.

Complete necessary paperwork for shipments and inventory management **.

Qualifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.

Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.

Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Familiarity with warehouse equipment and procedures.

Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.

Dependability and punctuality.

Team player with strong collaboration skills.

Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Good communication skills.
