VMS Technical Implementation Project Manager

Job Description

Lead implementation for the VMS project for service-related software applications

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets

Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Operations, Procurement, Finance) to align project objectives

Oversee requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support

Ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements

Facilitate easy reporting capabilities for the internal team

Act as the primary point of contact between vendor, procurement, Operations, and HR internal teams

Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure a successful vendor and project outcomes

Ensure vendor activities comply with company policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards

Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks, including operational and financial exposure

Maintain accurate vendor training documentation, knowledge transfer to a Super User, and audit trails

Pay varies depending on level of experience

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field

5+ years of experience in vendor management and/or IT project management

Experience with Workday VNDLY VMS technology

Proven track record of managing software application projects from initiation to delivery

Strong contract vendor performance management skills

Knowledge of procurement processes, SLAs, and compliance standards

Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Project, Jira, Asana)

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously

Understanding of IT systems, service delivery models, and application lifecycles
