Position Summary:

The Designer will apply sound mechanical engineering and design principles to create approval and fabrication drawings. Involved in the entire design process, including conceptual model creation to production-level design and detailing.

Job Details:

Direct Hire Career Opportunity with a growing, premier, local manufacturing company

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, typically can have half day on Friday

$20-$25 per hour, depending on experience and to be discussed with qualified applicants

What's a typical day as a Designer/Drafter? You'll:

Customize products to meet customer specifications

Propose product changes for added value

Collaborate with engineering for custom designs

Ensure manufacturability of designs

Communicate with purchasing and other departments

Generate shipping documents

Address design or production enhancements

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

Basic Qualifications:

Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

Proficient in CAD-based drafting software

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of design and drafting principles

Strong collaboration skills

Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SolidWorks

Understanding of metal fabrication processes

Fluent in ERP system navigation
