Description

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to build your career with a well-established company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy to support essential accounting functions.

Accountant Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with reconciling accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.

Record and review accounting entries to ensure compliance with company policies.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.

Respond to inquiries related to accounts and transactions with careful attention to detail.

Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

Accountant Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.

Familiarity with performing bank and account reconciliations.

Ability to accurately record and review accounting entries.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations.

Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
