Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Brisbane, California. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise and exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries.

Coordinate audit preparation and act as the primary liaison with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

Assist with compliance initiatives, providing support for regulatory requirements as directed by the Assistant Controller.

Apply advanced technical accounting knowledge to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

Utilize systems such as NetSuite to enhance financial operations and reporting.

Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to communicate financial insights and updates.

Ensure the general ledger is accurate and reconciled, maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Lead efforts to improve accounting processes, driving efficiency and accuracy across operations.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.

Big 4 background preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

Proficiency in month-end close procedures and journal entry preparation.

Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.

Hands-on experience with financial statement audits and regulatory compliance.

Expertise in systems such as NetSuite is preferred.

Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with executive leadership and diverse teams.
