Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant for a Milwaukee, WI area organization. This role is essential in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing payroll for multiple employee groups and be proficient with Paylocity software.

Responsibilities:

Process full-cycle payroll, ensuring all employee wages, deductions, and benefits are accurately calculated and disbursed.

Manage payroll operations for both union and non-union employees, adhering to specific agreements and regulations.

Utilize Paylocity software to maintain payroll records and generate detailed reports.

Verify and reconcile payroll data, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.

Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any issues efficiently.

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll with other functions.

Prepare payroll-related reports for audits or internal reviews.

Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and implement necessary adjustments.

Assist with the setup and maintenance of payroll systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing.

Familiarity with managing payroll for unionized employee groups.

Proficiency in Paylocity software for payroll operations.

Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns effectively.

Experience generating and analyzing payroll reports for audits and reviews.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
