A day in the life:

Assist with fabrication and assembly of pipe and sheet metal components per specifications

Help select proper pipe size, @type, and sheet metal gauge for each job

Cut, thread, shape, and form materials using hand and power tools

Assist with welding, soldering, brazing, grooving, and other joining methods

Support installation of fabricated assemblies and air handling equipment

Provide tools, materials, and supplies to skilled craft workers as needed

Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts and other equipment

Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned

You should have:

Knowledge of sheet metal/pipefitting industry or willingness to learn

Ability to work a flexible schedule including unscheduled overtime (nights and weekends)

Reliable source of transportation to and from work

Knowledge of basic construction/shop math (addition, subtraction, division, fraction, and multiplication)

Ability to work skillfully and safely with hands

Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment

Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers and other tradesmen

Ability to pass a drug screen
